2022 positions available:
Receptionist: 20-35 hours/week 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. - weekday and weekend shifts available. The receptionist is the first contact with our customers by taking reservations/inquiries over the phone and by email, checking-in customers before boarding cruises and assisting cash in our Dockside Cafe & Marketplace. Ideal for someone who is organized, enjoys working with the public and as a team or someone looking for more customer service experience.
Host & MC: 9-12 hours/week 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday. Are you a welcoming person, enjoy a bit of public speaking and can tell a few jokes? The host & MC will greet our bus tours upon arrival, assist in serving refreshments and be the announcer for our Blazing Fiddles Show. A great opportunity for a retiree or a student in performiing arts.
Wait Staff: Weekday and/or weekends with various shifts between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Must be available to work part-time until mid-October. Meal is served banquet style on board our 3 dinner cruise boats. Unique and rewarding job at a family run business...be our new member of "The Boat Farm" team! various hours available from June to October.
Boat Captain: 15-30 hours/week May - October. Ideal for a semi-retired/retired person who enjoys working with the public and the outdoors. Must enjoy public speaking and work well as a team and under pressure. The boat captain provides a narration during the cruise while dealing directly with customers and crew. Some boating experience is ideal however this position will include practical training before becoming certified with Transport Canada.
Baker: 10-25 hours/week June - October 6 a.m. - 1 p.m. Prepare baked bread and pies for our dinner cruises.
Cook: 10-15 hours/week June - October 6 a.m. - 1 p.m. We are looking for someone to help prepare our
famous roast beef dinner and our fresh-baked bread and pies for our dining cruises. All shifts are mornings from 6 a.m. to approx. 1 p.m. Will train the right person if no professional experience but cooking in large quantities is an asset. Must work well unsupervised, have excellent mulit-tasking skills and have a knack for preparing tasty gravy.
