Get to Know Us

In 1972, John and Luella Albin purchased a property along the Grand River, which included a century-old barn and a creek, with plans to turn it into a prosperous farm. However, in 1976, John’s construction of a houseboat sparked the idea of riverboat cruises, leading to the creation of Big Creek Boat Farm in 1978. The business grew, adding more boats and evening dinner cruises, and was renamed Grand River Dinner Cruises in the 1990s. Today, the business offers a variety of cruises and is managed by their children, Blain and Dana, alongside family.
